Music Recommendation - Saturdays = Youth

I've always been impressed by professional music journalists who can listen to a new album and determine in just a few days just how good it is. A good review will manage to be multifaceted, incorporating elements that range from the album's potential historical significance (past and future), musical enjoyability, lyrical prowess, technical achievement and so forth. I'm amazed by this because what takes a typical reviewer a few days to see, it takes me often weeks, months, or even years to truly understand the value of a given album.

The Walking Dead and such

I know a lot of buzz has been slowly generating since AMC greenlit The Walking Dead for production, but I only recently discovered the series last year when my brother Randy gifted me the first two volumes of the graphic novel. I had just finished reading World War Z, a "real-life" historical account of the Zombie War, a novel slightly akin to the original broadcast of Wells' War of the Worlds in that it tries its hardest to make the zombie apocalypse feel like a real threat. I loved that book. Loved it. Enough so that I really didn't want it to end.
